Accura Engineering is seeking a Part-Time Electrical Engineer to provide design and support for government and NASA facilities projects. The role focuses on electrical distribution, lighting, back‑up power, and related systems, with collaboration across design disciplines.

The successful candidate will bring an ABET‑accredited electrical engineering degree, a PE license, and extensive experience in facilities electrical design, with strong interaction with government clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited electrical engineering degree or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• 15+ years in facilities electrical design (lighting, power, UPS).
• Ability to manage design and construction document phases.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering design and support for government projects.
• Design electrical distribution, lighting, back‑up power, and fire systems.
• Review plans, submittals, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Support project managers and cost estimators throughout construction.
• Interface with government clients during design and construction.
• Develop criteria statements and prep design drawings/specs.
