Job summary

Extendicare in Houston, TX is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support meal service in the Residence/Home. You will assist with setup, serving, and cleanup, maintain dining areas, and participate in special events. A strong focus on residents’ needs and safety is required.

Requirements: Food Handler's Certificate, enrollment in a Food Service Worker Training Program, and a current Vulnerable Sector Check. Customer service skills and physical stamina are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a Food Handler's Certificate.
• Must be enrolled in or complete a Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Must provide or obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests professionally.
• Assist in setup and preparation for service of items.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and dining areas.
• Assist with kitchen and dining area cleanliness.
• Assist with catering and events.
• Orient and train new dietary staff.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
