Job summary

Flat Irons Flex Care is seeking a Caretaker in Westminster, CA to provide non-medical home care to seniors in their homes. This part-time role offers flexible hours, valuable hands-on experience, and the chance to form meaningful relationships with clients.

You will assist with daily living activities, provide mobility support and reminders, and offer light household help while building one-on-one connections that enhance wellbeing and independence.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Reliable, compassionate and responsible.
• Able to complete required home care training before working independently.
• Physically and mentally able to meet job demands.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with mobility, transfers and light exercise.
• Offer light household support including meal prep, laundry and light housekeeping.
• Engage in conversation, provide emotional encouragement, and participate in hobbies and activities.
• Be a companion and supportive friend to clients.
