Job summary

Oak Park Care Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to join our team on a part-time schedule (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM). Help plan and implement floor activities, prepare snacks, and assist residents in a supportive, compassionate environment.

Weekend, holiday, and evening availability is required. We offer competitive pay based on experience, PTO after 30 days, holidays with premium pay, tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 per year, and participation in a 401(k) plan with company matching after one

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Must be willing to become a CNA or already be a CNA.
NCCAP college credits (6) preferred.
500 hours of experience in activity programming preferred.
Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center schedule.
Use monthly calendars to plan and organize activities.
Prepare special snacks with residents.
Set up dining room tables for activities and clean up after.
Complete required logs and charting; maintain clean activity areas.
Assist residents to and from common areas per care plan.
Assist other departments with residents as needed; weekends, holidays and evenings required.
