Job summary

Nature's Grace and Wellness in Illinois is seeking a part-time Security/Transit Driver to cover routes statewide. This role requires early mornings (as early as 4:00am) and a schedule not to exceed 30 hours per week, with shifts two days per week.

You will operate and maintain transit vehicles and support security duties across Illinois. Responsibilities include monitoring client sites, reporting incidents, controlling access, and performing safety checks.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check.
• Must have a clean driving record.

Job Overview

This is a PART TIME (2 days per week, not to exceed 30 hours) position that requires early mornings, some as early as 4:00am with routes that cover the entire state of Illinois

Nature's Grace and Wellness is seeking a part-time Security/Transit Driver to join our team. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual that is comfortable driving anywhere in Illinois. Hours may vary based on delivery schedule and on-site production schedules.

Responsibilities for Security/Transit Positions

• Operate & maintain our Transit Vehicles


• You may also be responsible for maintaining inventories, supply requests, and work orders.


• Identifying potential maintenance on Transit Vehicles.


• Keeping a clean and orderly "work area".


• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.


• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.


• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.


• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process


• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.


• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.


• Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.


• Prepares logs and reports as required.

Qualifications for Security/Transit Positions

• No CDL Required


• Use of simple navigation systems such as google maps/GPS etc.


• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.


• Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust.


• Excellent time management skills.


• Comfortable making decisions independently.


• Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
