Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time at our Somerset, NJ site. This role provides flexible hours and the opportunity to supplement income while gaining hands-on security experience with a nationwide leader in security and facility services.

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The schedule is fixed to a shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM on Thursdays, with additional shift opportunities through the Earn More program.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees while following site security procedures.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and vehicles according to access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies following site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas and help deter unauthorized activity.
