Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Part Time Screening Technician in Indianapolis, IN. You will monitor access, screen people and packages, and report unusual activity while delivering strong customer service at a busy logistics site.

This role offers a part-time schedule with day and night shifts. Prior security or screening experience is preferred, and 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Background and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, deliveries, and packages according to site procedures and report prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation, and maintain orderly access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unauthorized access and other security concerns.
