Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer in Hazlehurst, MS. You will monitor and patrol, deter incidents, and support access control at a food and beverage location while delivering excellent customer service.

Key duties include responding to incidents, conducting patrols, and documenting visitor and incident information. Candidates should have at least one year in security, be 21+, and pass background and drug screening per policy.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, production-area exteriors, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, vehicle, and incident information in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate observations, concerns, and unusual conditions to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, completing accurate reports as needed.
