Job summary

Allied Universal in Harlingen, TX is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver Incident Response to provide reliable security at a busy retail site.

This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, plus paid training and benefits. Pay is $14.00 per hour, with a schedule like DayTime Tue 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to observe, document, and report security-related concerns.
• Experience with or willingness to learn emergency response procedures.
• Knowledge of site-specific policies and security procedures.
• Familiarity with access control and escort operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns; help to deter unauthorized activity through a visible presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and documenting observations and actions taken.
• Assist with access control, customer and associate escorts, and directions while maintaining a professional and service-oriented presence.
