Job summary

Allied Universal in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to patrol and protect our client sites in a tech-focused environment. You’ll maintain a visible security presence, respond calmly to incidents, and deliver courteous customer service to employees and visitors while following site procedures.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused workplace by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or facility concerns.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and alarm or camera systems as assigned, documenting observations and communicating concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
