Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Florham Park, NJ. You will monitor assigned areas, perform patrols, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns while maintaining a visible, customer-focused presence.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of security experience, and a HS diploma or equivalent. The role offers a part-time schedule with shifts including evenings and weekends and opportunities to advance within a leading security company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations calmly and follow site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in logs and reports.
