Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Columbus, OH. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, assist with access control, and deliver professional customer service to employees, visitors and vendors using corporate tools to document activity. The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and integrity in a technology-driven environment.

Position Type: Part Time. Pay Rate: $18.54 per hour.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor security-related systems, cameras, and communications equipment as assigned; report unusual conditions, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
