Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Verification in Rancho Cordova, CA. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with a fixed anchor shift and a program to claim extra shifts, letting you increase earnings while gaining experience across sites.

The position pays $21.10 per hour and includes opportunities to scale to up to 40 hours weekly. Requirements include security experience, HS diploma, background checks, and the ability to work a varied schedule.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor registration, and maintain accurate access-related records per site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or security concerns.
• Support emergency response activities, including directing occupants and visitors per site procedures and assisting leadership and local responders as needed.
