Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Overland Park, KS. This role offers flexible, reliable hours and a pathway to a full-time career with the industry leader.

You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner. A six-month anchor shift is required, with additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe conditions throughout the location, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrols, and security‑related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
