Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer - Enhanced for Melville, NY. This role offers fixed evening shifts on Saturdays and Sundays with opportunities to pick up extra shifts for greater earnings.

The position emphasizes customer service, access control, and incident response with base pay $19.57 per hour and a six-month anchor commitment at a designated site. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to utility personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, substations, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly documenting and reporting events to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
