Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Greer, SC to provide reliable access control, customer service, and incident response at an assigned site. You’ll have fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain broader site experience.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, potential advancement, and training opportunities, with a pay rate of $14.40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to port personnel, visitors, vendors, and drivers by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor access records, and direct authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to restricted port facilities in accordance with established procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
