Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Greenwood, IN. This role provides fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts for additional earnings, helping you build experience across sites while maintaining income stability.

The position supports part-time employment with a base schedule and the potential to extend to a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week. Training and advancement opportunities are available as part of our industry-leading program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and responding to questions in a professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facility buildings, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing entry and exit activity, verifying authorization as directed by site procedures, and documenting visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site-specific procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
