Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced for a Distribution Center in Commerce City, CO. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to boost earnings, plus growth opportunities within the security and facilities services industry.

The position provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with a pay rate of $21.70 per hour, and the potential to scale hours up to 40 per week while maintaining flexibility for personal commitments.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as part of employment.
• Drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be needed by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Maintain visitor and vehicle access records, issue and collect access credentials, and report discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
