Job summary

DK Security, Inc. is seeking a part-time Security Officer to help safeguard client properties with vigilant, professional service.

Duties include customer service, observing and reporting suspicious activity, and maintaining a visible security presence across lobbies, reception areas, and control centers. Responsibilities vary by contract, with patrols, access control, emergency readiness, and timely completion of required trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass a drug screening at hire and randomly thereafter.
• No felonies on record.
• No misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, or assault.
• Must be CPR/First Aid/AED certified or willing to become certified.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs (70 lbs for armed work).
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Must be professional with excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: assist client staff, visitors, and coworkers with a positive demeanor.
• Observe and Report: stay alert for suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: patrol and guard building lobbies, reception areas, and control centers.
• Access Control: verify IDs and enforce entry procedures.
• Emergency Response: assist in emergencies, including CPR/First Aid/AED as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
