Job summary

Allied Universal in McCarran, NV seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Screening to provide reliable, consistent hours at a fixed site with flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. You will screen employees and visitors, verify IDs, monitor access points, and respond to emergencies while upholding site procedures.

Qualifications

Guard card or applicable license preferred.
Access control and badge experience preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Possess a high-school diploma or equivalent.
Background investigation as required by federal/state/local laws.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with procedures.
Verify identification, access credentials, shipping documentation, and entry requirements; report discrepancies to the site contact or leadership.
Monitor screening equipment and access points, document activities, and report incidents calmly and clearly.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity.
