Sonesta Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Part Time Security Officer to help protect guests, employees and property while delivering professional, service-focused hospitality.

Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring systems, responding to incidents, and coordinating with hotel departments to ensure a safe and welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, hospitality, or guest service preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a calm, professional presence.
• Ability to stay composed and make sound decisions during emergencies or high-pressure situations.
• Attention to detail with a focus on safety, guest satisfaction, and operational awareness.
• Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, and surveillance practices preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications or related training preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel property, public areas, entrances, and parking to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
• Monitor activity, security systems, and guest interactions to identify and respond to safety concerns.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, accidents, and operational incidents per procedures.

• Maintain incident reports, daily logs, and security documentation.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, Housekeeping, and leadership teams as needed.
