Job summary

Securitas, Inc. in Cumberland, MD is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for an inside post. The shift runs Saturday 0900–1900, 12 hours. You will control access to the property, conduct foot patrols every 2 hours (patrols take about 30 minutes), and rely on the Vision System to monitor activity.

No experience is required; training is provided. We offer weekly pay, health/dental/vision benefits, growth opportunities, and an employee referral bonus program as part of our security team.

• Must have excellent Customer Service skills.
• Security positions require you pass our drug screen and background check.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard.
• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.

Part Time Security Officer

Wage: $16.58/ hour

Part-time (12 hours). Saturday from 0900-1900. Inside post. Officer controls access to the property and building and will conduct foot patrols every 2 hours using the Vision System. Foot patrols take 30 minutes to complete. This is a cold-start assignment, so reliability is a must. Officer may be required to interact with drivers, as well as employees, as needed.

Job Requirements of the Security Officer/Security Guard include but are not limited to:

• Security Officers/Security Guards observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.


• Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.


• Additional physical requirements of the security officer/guard may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
