Job summary

County Road Cannabis is seeking a dedicated Security Guard to protect customers, staff, and property in New Hampton, NY. You will greet entrants, verify IDs, monitor CCTV, patrolling, and maintain a visible presence to deter threats. You will support cash handling procedures and ensure daily compliance with state cannabis regulations.

The role requires professionalism under pressure, reliable transportation, and punctual attendance. Prior security experience in retail or cannabis is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work from 5:30pm-9pm on Weekdays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work Monday - Friday from 10am to 6pm.
• Prior security or law enforcement experience preferred, especially in a retail or cannabis environment.
• Strong observation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, alarms, or emergencies.
• Support staff and customers in maintaining a safe, respectful, and compliant environment.
• Assist with cash handling security procedures, opening/closing protocols, and daily compliance checks.
• Follow all company policies and state cannabis regulations.
