Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Driver Badge Issuance in Memphis, TN. You will manage site entry, verify credentials, and support badge and visitor processes at a chemical/petrochemical location.

Responsibilities include monitoring access points, screening vehicles, and maintaining records while delivering strong customer service and following procedures. Minimums include a valid license and age requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor and contractor access documentation, and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Screen vehicles, deliveries, and materials in accordance with site procedures, directing authorized traffic to designated areas and reporting irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to access-control incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and incident-reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of gates, access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
