Job summary

P.F. Candle Co. is seeking a Seasonal Part-Time Retail Associate for our Williamsburg, Brooklyn store for the 2026 holiday season, extending into early 2027. You will greet customers, build connections, and guide fragrance choices with in-depth product knowledge.

Must be flexible, including weekends and holidays. The role reports to the Shop Manager and includes customer education, sales, and store presentation responsibilities to create a memorable shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail or customer-facing roles.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication skills founded on honesty and transparency.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing time efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm, friendly demeanor and create a welcoming environment throughout the shopping experience
• Engage in meaningful conversations to understand customer needs and offer product suggestions
• Provide expert knowledge and customer education on product information, development and production processes, and care/best use suggestions
• Gather customer feedback and share with larger team to identify successes and areas of improvement
• Utilize strong sales techniques to upsell or cross-sell products, ensuring customers leave with the right items for their needs
• Ensure a seamless checkout process, including sales, returns, and exchanges, and answer any questions or concerns professionally
• Achieve and exceed sales goals through personalized recommendations and building lasting customer relationships
• Stay informed about all products and be able to communicate their unique selling points effectively
• Maintain a clean and organized storefront at all times, ensuring that product displays are always well-stocked and aesthetically aligned with creative direction
• Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and product restocking
• Organize back stock and storage areas to ensure efficiency and easy access to merchandise
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and balancing the register
• Contribute to marketing initiatives, such as in-store promotions or social media content
• Assist with in-store events and activations

Retail Associates serve as the face and voice of P.F. Candle Co., creating a welcoming environment and delivering a thoughtful, personalized fragrance experience. They greet customers with warmth, build genuine connections, and help shoppers discover products that suit their needs and preferences.

This position reports to the Shop Manager. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and be comfortable adapting to changing scheduling needs based on business demands and team availability.

November 2026 – February 2027, with the possibility of extending into early March 2027

SALARY:

$25/HR
