The Role

The Driver at Found Rental Co. plays an essential role in safely transporting, delivering, installing, and retrieving premium furniture and décor for events and client experiences. As both a frontline brand ambassador and a field leader, this position is responsible for operating company vehicles, guiding assigned crews, and ensuring deliveries, installations, and strikes are completed safely, efficiently, and according to Found's standards.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of safety and accountability, and can confidently lead a team in a fast-paced event environment. Drivers represent Found directly at client locations and are expected to demonstrate professionalism, strong communication, and attention to detail throughout every assignment.

In addition to driving responsibilities, this role performs all essential duties of an Installation Team Member, including loading, unloading, furniture placement, inventory handling, and onsite coordination. Drivers work closely with dispatch, operations, and installation teams to ensure accurate deliveries and successful event execution.

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Transportation

Safely operate company vehicles, including 16–26-foot box trucks, in accordance with applicable driving regulations and company policies.

Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Identify and report vehicle damage, mechanical concerns, and unsafe operating conditions promptly.

Ensure trucks are properly loaded, secured, and balanced for safe transportation.

Coordinate assigned routes, delivery schedules, and arrival times with dispatch and operations.

Maintain required driving documentation and promptly report accidents, citations, or changes affecting driving eligibility.

Maintain company vehicles in a clean, organized, and professional condition.

Follow all company requirements regarding safe driving, mobile device use, and vehicle operation.

Perform all essential responsibilities of an Installation Team Member.

Lead assigned crews during event installations, deliveries, and strikes.

Review delivery instructions, event layouts, and placement requirements to ensure accurate execution.

Coordinate furniture placement according to approved client specifications and venue requirements.

Conduct appropriate walkthroughs with clients or onsite representatives before and after installations when assigned.

Ensure all inventory is properly accounted for before departure from the warehouse and event locations.

Support timely completion of assignments while maintaining Found's quality and service standards.

Serve as the onsite field lead for assigned delivery and installation crews.

Provide clear instructions, assign responsibilities, and coordinate team activities throughout each assignment.

Lead by example through professionalism, teamwork, safe work practices, and accountability.

Support and mentor installation team members in proper handling, loading, and installation procedures.

Communicate real-time updates, delays, staffing concerns, and operational issues to dispatch and leadership.

Monitor crew progress and labor pacing to support efficient completion within established timelines.

Address routine onsite challenges and elevate matters requiring management assistance.

Inventory Care & Quality Control

Inspect furniture and décor for damage, missing components, or other concerns during loading, delivery, and retrieval.

Ensure inventory is handled, wrapped, protected, and secured according to company standards.

Report damaged, missing, or incorrect inventory promptly to the appropriate team.

Verify delivery paperwork, inventory counts, and required documentation for accuracy.

Ensure trucks and equipment are organized to minimize damage and support safe loading and unloading.

Maintain Found's presentation and quality standards when placing furniture and décor at client locations.

Team & Warehouse Support

Assist with warehouse operations, inventory preparation, and truck loading when needed.

Support large-scale installations, special events, and other operational projects.

Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure inventory and equipment are prepared for upcoming assignments.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles, loading areas, and equipment.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support daily operations.

Safety & Standards

Follow all company safety policies, transportation procedures, and applicable driving regulations.

Operate company vehicles only when properly licensed, trained, and authorized.

Follow safe lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, and material-handling procedures.

Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and available material-handling equipment.

Maintain safe and unobstructed work areas during loading, installations, and strikes.

Follow venue rules, client requirements, and established onsite safety procedures.

Support compliance with California meal and rest period requirements, including ensuring employees are able to take required breaks and promptly reporting scheduling or operational concerns.

Immediately report vehicle accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, and equipment concerns to leadership.

Maintain a professional appearance, respectful communication, and appropriate conduct when representing Found at client locations.

Support a safe, organized, and professional working environment for all team members and clients.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicles assigned and an acceptable driving record under company standards.

Demonstrated experience safely operating commercial-style box trucks, preferably ranging from 16 to 26 feet.

Ability to operate assigned vehicles in accordance with applicable licensing and transportation requirements.

Experience with furniture delivery, installation, event operations, or related physical work preferred.

Strong leadership skills and ability to provide clear direction to assigned crew members.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to organize tasks, manage time, and adapt to changing schedules or event requirements.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to protecting company inventory and equipment.

Ability to identify and resolve routine onsite challenges while communicating concerns appropriately.
