Job summary

Uniform Gear Inc. is seeking a part-time seamstress for our Warrington location. The role focuses on alterations, hemming, patchwork, and customer fittings with shifts Monday–Friday from 11am to 3pm. You will operate sewing machines and read work orders to complete alterations on customers’ garments.

Responsibilities include measuring, sewing, patches, and updating order notes, while maintaining a friendly, efficient service environment for public service workers in the Warrington area.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of industrial sewing experience
• 1–2 years of hemming experience
• Able to read work orders and understand what needs to be completed
• Must complete work in a timely fashion

Responsibilities

• Alters, repairs, or fits garments
• Fits garments on customers to determine alterations
• Sews garments using needles and sewing machines
• Measures parts and marks alteration lines
• Takes up hems to shorten garment parts
• Removes stitches from garments to be altered
• Makes garment style changes such as tapering pant legs
• Enters work notes into the computer for orders
• Communicates with customers
