Job summary

Mad Science of Detroit is hiring a Part-Time Science Instructor to lead one-hour after-school programs for elementary students. You will follow our simple curriculum to guide hands-on experiments and help kids explore STEM concepts through demonstrations and take-home projects.

Join a fun, active role with flexible hours, training provided, and opportunities for additional programs during the week and on weekends. No science degree required, just a love of science and kids.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is a plus.
• A reliable vehicle and ability to travel to program locations.
• Flexible availability for weekday programs, with some evenings and weekends.

What You'll Do

• Lead fun, hands-on, one-hour after-school science programs for elementary-aged children.
• Use our easy-to-follow curriculum to guide students through exciting experiments and activities.
• Help kids explore STEM concepts through demonstrations, discoveries, and take-home projects.
• Bring your energy, enthusiasm, and personality to every class!
• Have opportunities to work birthday parties, workshops, special events, and other programs throughout the week and on weekends.
