First Student in Middle Island, NY is hiring Part Time School Van Drivers to start students’ days with morning pickups and return them home in the afternoon. No experience is required; we provide training and guidance to help you become a safe, professional driver.

Hours are part-time with AM/PM routes; great for retirees, stay-at-home parents, or anyone seeking a flexible daytime role. Benefits include insurance options and a 401(k) with company match.

Competenze

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with mornings and afternoons available.
• No nights, weekends, or holidays required.

Mansioni

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of brakes, lights, tires, and exits.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Follow traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or student behavior.
• Demonstrate leadership and provide excellent customer service.
