First Student, Inc. is hiring part-time School Van Drivers in Charleston County. You will transport students safely to and from school with morning and afternoon routes, and may cover field trips and events.

No experience is required; we provide training and support to become a safe, professional driver. The role offers an hourly wage, flexible split shifts, and opportunities to grow across 540 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided to become a safe driver.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the vehicle to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of brakes, lights, tires, and exits.
• Report mechanical issues and keep the vehicle clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
