Job summary

The Kentwood Public School District is seeking a Van/Shuttle Driver to safely transport students to and from school. The role involves operating a 10-passenger van on designated routes, checking and maintaining the vehicle, and ensuring all students depart safely at the end of each trip.

You will support mail and supply deliveries, maintain records, and participate in trainings to stay compliant with district policies. A valid license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Chauffeur license required, with good driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and drug/alcohol test.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must be 21 years old and able to pass drug testing.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives a 10 passenger van on school days along designated routes and times.
• Assists with pickup/delivery of mail, supplies and other items.
• Cleans and refuels vehicle as needed.
• Maintains route timing records and submits required reports.
• Ensures no child is left alone in van without supervision.
• Attends trainings and professional development opportunities.
• Travel to district buildings and service stations as needed.
