Responsibilities

• Provide group and individual counseling for special education students per IEPs and monitor IEP goals.
• Provide counseling to general education students and monitor intervention responses.
• Develop and monitor behavior intervention plans and support teachers.
• Complete psychosocial assessments to assist in determining services.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and share results in parent-friendly language.
• Complete risk assessments for students referred to school social work.
• Establish relationships with students and parents; participate in school planning.
• Identify community resources and refer students to support services.
• Provide staff consultation on behavioral-emotional-environmental issues.
• Offer crisis intervention and maintain clinical records per program standards.
