Qualifications

• College degree and/or law enforcement experience as required.
• Indiana Law Enforcement Academy certification in good standing.
• Completion of 40-hour School Resource Officer training.
• Ongoing annual training per State requirements.
• Criminal background check free of disqualifying findings.
• Virtus trained; cross-cultural communication experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a calm, professional presence to promote a safe learning environment.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students and staff.
• Monitor campus areas during school hours to deter threats and maintain order.
• Implement crime prevention programs and enforce laws on school property.
• Engage with students, families, and the community as a resource.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to students facing challenges.
