Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a Part-Time School Resource Officer (SRO) to support safety in the San Angelo Independent School District. The ideal candidate will have TCOLE certification and a background in law enforcement, either meeting the criteria of five years in Texas or two years with the San Angelo Police Department. Responsibilities include responding to incidents, collaborating with school staff, and maintaining a visible presence on campus. Officers will not receive additional benefits, except for Workers' Compensation coverage while on duty.

Qualifications

• Must be a TCOLE-certified Texas Peace Officer.
• Minimum of 5 years of law enforcement experience in Texas or 2 years with the San Angelo Police Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and reassuring law enforcement presence on school campuses.
• Respond to and investigate incidents occurring on school property.
• Collaborate with school administrators to enforce school policies and maintain order.
