Job summary

AnthroMed Education is seeking a Part-Time School-Based Physical Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year in Washington, DC. The role provides PT services to early childhood students (ages 3-5) with a schedule of 7:45am-4:15pm and has a pay range of $60-$70 per hour based on experience.

You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, deliver interventions, collaborate with educators and families, and promote safe, inclusive mobility in school settings.

Qualifications

• DC DOH PT license is required.
• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Experience with care planning across settings (inpatient/outpatient/home health).
• Proficiency with EMR documentation and treatment tracking.
• Ability to work effectively with children in school or home environments.
• Excellent communication with educators, families, and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ physical abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide targeted interventions such as gait training to enhance function.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to coordinate care.
• Educate school staff and families on exercises, mobility aids, and home care strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in a school setting.
