Job summary

The Cedar Rapids Community School District is seeking a qualified School Nurse (0.5 FTE) to provide health services across multiple school sites in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The nurse will coordinate health plans, counsel students and families, and support school health interventions throughout the school year.

Requirements include a BSN or BS/BA with nursing experience, RN license, and completion of state boards; work is on-site with capacity to collaborate with district staff and health partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; BSN preferred.
• RN license by the Iowa Board of Nursing required.
• Statement of Professional Recognition from the Board of Educational Examiners required before commencement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate health services for students at assigned buildings; may rotate between schools.
• Develop and implement Individual Health Plans and Emergency Plans; contribute to 504 plans.
