Job summary

Minot Public Schools Washington Elementary School is hiring a Nutrition Services Assistant to support daily meal service in a school kitchen. The role involves basic cooking prep, serving meals, cash register duties, and maintaining clean, safe dining areas.

Starting immediately, work is part-time with a 2-hour shift from 11:00 to 1:00. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; experience in customer service and knowledge of safety standards are desired.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent; some customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices for food preparation and distribution.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and presentation; follow MPS policies and safety standards.
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks; operate a cash register/service terminal.
• Clean dining and food preparation areas to meet mandated health standards.
• Interact courteously with clients, visitors, and District staff while maintaining confidentiality.
