Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing practices and regulations.
• Ability to administer first aid to students and faculty.
• Maintains accurate nursing notes and records.

Responsibilities

• Administers first aid to injured students and/or faculty.
• Nursing assessment of students or faculty with illness or injury.
• Maintains documentation of all care rendered with clear nursing notes.
• Notifies parent/guardian when necessary for illness or injury.
• Initiates emergency responses (911) for severe cases.
• Completes accident reports promptly and accurately.
• Administers medications as ordered by a health practitioner and documents.
• Communicates health status changes to CSN and health staff.
• Assist health personnel and maintain student health records.
• Assist with health inspections for pediculosis and skin rashes.
• Advise teachers and students on health procedures and exams.
• Take In-Service Courses to stay current in medical techniques.
