Job summary

The Muscogee County School District has an opening for a School Clinic Worker in Columbus, GA. This part-time role is non-benefits eligible, with up to 19 hours weekly across 190 days, and reports to the Principal.

Starting date is To Be Determined. Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and medical experience is preferred to support student health needs and maintain a safe clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Educational Level: High School Diploma/GED
• Experience: Medical experience preferred
• Physical Activities: Routine physical activities required to fulfill job responsibilities
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication; ability to maintain a positive working relationship with school personnel, students, and families; competency in record keeping and organizational abilities; interpersonal skills for overseeing the clinic

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Presents professional appearance per District Dress Code.
• Attends mandatory Clinic Orientation and required trainings.
• Adheres to District Rules; follows nursing procedures and maintains confidentiality.
• Administers and documents medications per physician directions.
• Maintains a clean, orderly clinic and proper medication storage.
• Provides privacy and a caring environment for students and families.
• Identifies and manages infectious illnesses; reports to the Consulting Nurse.
• Evaluates student responses and documents IHCP/504/IEP interventions.
• Collaborates with the Nursing staff on IHCP/504 plans as appropriate.
• Communicates with school personnel about health issues.
