Job summary

Denise Louie Education Center in Beacon Hill, Seattle, is seeking a part-time janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment for children and staff. The role includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting classrooms, restrooms, and common areas, plus trash removal and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities also cover window cleaning, outdoor area upkeep, supply management, and helping with school events.

Qualifications

• Cleaning: sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize classrooms and common areas.
• Disinfecting: sanitize high-touch surfaces daily.
• Safety: follow fire and safety regulations and report hazards.
• Communication: update supervisor daily and document needs.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting floors and surfaces.
• Disinfecting: sanitize door handles, tables, restrooms, and shared spaces.
• Trash/Recycle/Compost Removal: collect and dispose waste throughout the building.
• Window Cleaning, Floor Maintenance, Outdoor Area upkeep: perform related tasks as needed.
• Maintenance: replace light bulbs and handle small repairs.
