City of Akron seeks a dedicated custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across Akron Public Schools. You will perform daily custodial tasks, assist with facility preparations for the next school day, and help maintain grounds and building systems.

The role requires high school/GED completion and at least one year of related experience. You will work with supervisors and staff to ensure a clean, safe learning environment for students and visitors.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited High School or GED.
• One year of paid related experience is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Ensure safety of students and staff.
• Assist in air handler and classroom filter changes.
• Shovel and remove snow from school grounds and sidewalks.
• Mow school lawns and maintain grounds.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop and wax floors; clean restrooms.
• Refill soap, paper towel and bathroom tissue dispensers.
• Clean windows, chalkboards, and other surfaces.
• Move heavy objects and perform minor repairs.
• Maintain and organize custodial equipment and materials.
• Promote safety practices and interact positively with staff and students.
