Job summary

Excelsior Prep Charter School is seeking a Part-Time Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff. The role includes routine cleaning, minor maintenance, and support for school facilities.

The ideal candidate will have custodial experience, be reliable and detail-oriented, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Evening or weekend availability is required, and fingerprinting/background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Availability to work evenings or weekends as needed.
• Fingerprinting and Background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust regularly
• Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed
• Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for events or activities
• Perform minor repairs and report maintenance issues to supervisors
• Ensure security of the building after hours
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
