Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a Custodial Helper I for 10-15 hours per week in Salt Lake City. The role assists students, teachers and custodians with cleaning tasks, grounds work, and basic building maintenance.

Minimum age 14; HS diploma or GED preferred if over 18; background check required if over 18. Duties include security, lock-up, and routine cleaning for a safe school environment.

Qualifications

• Knows how to operate and maintain basic cleaning equipment.
• May perform minor adjustments to equipment.
• Understands basic use of age-appropriate cleaning solvents and their proper application.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove garbage in classrooms and offices.
• Assist with grounds care, building maintenance, and security checks as needed.
• Lock/unlock doors after hours; ensure building security systems are activated.
• Support in maintaining VE KTR inspection score of 80% or higher.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
