Job summary

Park Hill School District in the Kansas City area is seeking a School Crossing Guard for Tiffany Ridge Elementary. Shift times are 8:45-9:15am and 3:45-4:15pm, with a minimum pay of $17.14 per hour to help ensure student safety while walking to school and crossing roadways.

• Ability to monitor road traffic and determine safe crossing times.
• Knowledge of safe street crossing procedures.
• Ability to stay alert to hazards and communicate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Chooses good times to step into the street to create gaps in traffic for safe crossing.
• Recognizes and communicates potentially dangerous traffic situations to the Principal or Assistant Principal.
• Stands in the roadway with STOP paddle raised to shoulder height.
• Verbal directions to children crossing the street to ensure safety.
