Job summary

ACMS is hiring multiple School Crossing Guards in South Whittier to help keep students safe as they travel to and from school. Crossing Guards provide a visible, safe presence at designated crossings and help children navigate traffic with calm and professional conduct.

Shifts occur before and after school on weekdays, part-time with 2 hours per day. Pay is $18.75 per hour, with additional paid bonus time for completing both shifts, and training plus safety equipment are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Candidates living near the assigned school area may be best positioned for timely arrival to scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist students and pedestrians at designated crossings
• Monitor traffic flow and maintain safe crossing conditions
• Remain attentive and alert throughout assigned shifts
