Job summary

King George County Schools is seeking a Substitute Cafeteria Worker to support the kitchen and serving areas, preparing balanced meals for students and staff under the cafeteria manager’s supervision. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of large-quantity cookery, and the ability to work cooperatively with cafeteria staff.

A Health Department food-handling certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years experence in large quantity cookery.
• Ability to work cooperatively with cafeteria staff.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation.
• Food handling from preparation to serving.
• Collect money and/or meal tickets.
• Cleaning of equipment, utensils and designated areas.
• Receiving and storage of food supplies.
• Regular on time attendance.
• Performs related duties as assigned by the manager.
