Job summary

Chartwells K-12 Beloit, WI is hiring for a part-time Food Service Worker to prepare, present and serve food in the school cafeteria. You will perform prep work, follow recipes and ensure food safety standards.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a fixed pay rate of $15.00 per hour. Prior food service experience, along with basic math and computer skills, is required. Online applications accepted only.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
