Job summary

Chartwells K-12 is hiring part-time cooks for the East Saint Louis School District location. The role offers Monday through Friday schedules with hours discussed at interview. Pay ranges from $15.50 to $17.00 per hour, and prior cooking experience is preferred but not required.

The position focuses on preparing meals to standard recipes, safe handling, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Training on portioning, temperatures, and safety will be provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery with correct portions and temperatures, ensuring safety and appeal.
• Tastes all prepared items to ensure quality.
• Maintains cleanliness and follows HACCP standards in storage and service.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in ordering, receiving, and inventory records.
