Job summary

Clay District Wide in Manchester, Kentucky is seeking a Substitute Bus Monitor to assist the bus driver, maintain discipline on the bus, and help with loading, unloading, and seating students.

This part-time role requires reliable, patient communication with students, parents, and staff, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to lift students when needed. Immediate starting date; training will be provided and safety procedures are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or progress toward GED as per Kentucky law.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and assist loading/unloading of students.
• Good communication with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist bus driver in maintaining discipline while bus is in operation.
• Help with loading/unloading and seating arrangements as required.
• Assist with documentation of student information and route surveys.
• Ensure seat belts and safety equipment are properly used.
• Communicate with school personnel and parents regarding student matters.
• Attend in-service meetings and training courses as assigned.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
