Job summary

First Student Management LLC in New Lenox, IL is hiring a Part Time School Bus Monitor to assist the bus driver and ensure a safe journey for students. No experience required; training provided and a $500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Responsibilities include helping students board and exit safely, assisting those with special needs, keeping students seated, and communicating with the driver to maintain a calm ride. Shifts are split AM/PM with weekdays only.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible split shifts (AM/PM).
• Physical ability to assist students and perform emergency procedures.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help students safely board and exit the bus
• Assist children with special needs during transport
• Ensure students remain seated and follow bus safety rules
• Communicate with the driver to maintain a safe, calm ride
• Provide care and encouragement to students each day
